This summer finished 3.78″ below average for rainfall and about 0.74\u00b0 below average for temperature. Based on the departure from average, this summer was actually cooler than summer 2013 and summer 2014 combined. Based on average temperature, this summer was the coolest in Cincinnati since 2009:<\/p>\n

The average summer temperature for 2015 would be higher had it not even for a cooler than average July and August. July and August finished 0.49\u00b0 and 2.59\u00b0 below average, respectively. This may not seem like a lot, but remember the the average temperature is the average of the daily high and daily low averaged over the entire summer.<\/p>\n

On average, there are 7 days each in both July and August with a high temperature of or above 90\u00b0 in Cincinnati. So far this year, there have only been 9 90\u00b0+ days in the Queen City (5 in June and 4 in July):<\/p>\n
